Ecc_3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
I looked out the kitchen window today at an older revolving clothesline. On one corner sets a bird feeder, on another a hanging plant of trailing petunias.
After watching a chipmunk contort his body sideways and upside down to fill his belly, I noticed a red cardinal sitting on the opposite side of the square looking at the chipmunk gorge itself.
I went off to eat and then do dishes, which brought me to an outdoor view. The chipmunk sprawled across the metal arms of the clothesline holder. The bird sat perched four and a half feet apart on another arm straight across from the rodent.
I’ve seen cardinals eat placidly by larger blue jays. This puffy bird kept its distance from the striped furry fellow, even though chipmunks eat seeds and acorns.
I thought, two divergent creatures, resting in the sun, beautiful.
God makes all things beautiful in His time. I love that!
